New Twist
Anyway, I'm currently working on a little project right now for my organization since I'm heading one of the activities this term, which I mentioned in my Naughty November, Sleepless Forever blog post. And yes, I still am sleepless. I am aching to just get the term over with so that I can finally get some sleep. For now, I have photo essays, films, concepts, papers, HTML codes and reports that all need to be done. Alongside that, I have this project... which has pretty much given me head aches, but I like the project. And for this project, I am working up a whole lot of creativity! So I will be posting pictures from the event after. Wish me luck! It's this week already!
The D.I.Y. update will have to be put on hold for now. I just had to type down that concept so I won't forget. LOL. Do check back later on! ;) See ya!

Save Your Pockets and DIY!
I pulled out the feather from a pen I owned, and then de-constructed a giveaway I received and added it onto the feather to add a little more design to it.
Of course, I had to have the hair style to go along with it, so I looked up YouTube for some tutorials and found something done by xteeener. Go ahead and check out her page! I learned a lot of make-up tips from her (and she does the occasional hair too).
So this is basically the outcome (although this was the 'test-run' I did about two days before the event). The whole look probably costs less than P200, considering I used things I already had lying around the house. After this little DIY project, I got motivated to do more projects... so when I have the time, I will probably get to working on more (I've already DIY-ed clothes back in high school--which I am looking to go back to trying).
As for the post about Paola's Moulin Rouge party, that will have to wait. I'm still waiting for pictures to be uploaded, and I'm still working on a couple of school things right now... so, 'til then!

Naughty November, Sleepless Forever
Wow, I think I really am turning into a workaholic. My friends have been on me with this. They tell me to get some sleep, put working on hold, and just lay around to ease the stress. Well, I 'space out' at times, which is my way of easing the stress... but then I snap right back to reality and see all this junk waiting to be finished. Oh no.
Speaking of things I am working on, and since it's NAUGHTY NOVEMBER (*winkwink*) and Christmas season is coming up, Writers' Guild is working on a little something. Please support this project/activity that I am currently handling for the organization.
HAVE YOU BEEN NAUGHTY OR NICE? What's the secret you've been meaning to keep but have been dying to tell? Send it in: http://whisperyoursecret.blogspot.com/ and we'll keep it for you. Brought to you by the De La Salle University-Manila Writers' Guild.

A Little Change Won't Hurt
While looking for materials yesterday, my mom insisted we drop by the department store to grab a couple of things for the house. A little later, we found ourselves looking through bed sheets and curtains for my room. Since my room was re-painted into a purple-ish, pink-ish colour, I always thought it would be nice to have like purple curtains as well. So we searched for something modern and purple, but easy on the eyes and light on fabric. We found the perfect one.
My bed with its new sheets!
Talk about a purple room! But I love how the sheets don't limit the colour palette to purple. Oh, and that's my brother who went home for the weekend, so I had the pull-out bed ready.
The curtains! I really didn't want to choose any other curtain, so we had a hard time looking for sheets to sort of match or compliment it, at least. LOL.
So I also found cute sheets to go along with the curtain and the rest of my room. It might be a bit 'purple overload', but I like it. The curtains aren't as heavy on the eyes as they seem. Yes, it's a darker shade of purple, but the fabric is very light, which makes light passing through easy.
Have you changed anything in your room lately? Any redecorations or rearrangements?
What is the theme/colour of your room?

What Happens In Angeles
Get ready for eye strain, readers! This is going to be a long one.
One of the main issues we had the day we made our way to Pampanga was the make-up class we had to attend that lasted until 5:50 in the afternoon - which is crazy, considering that the event starts at 6! So that basically eliminates our chances of being on time, getting ourselves properly made up, or even making it to see the entrance of the debutante. But, that still would not be a reason for us not to go, right?
So right before our 4:20-5:50 class, we spent a couple of hours having ourselves made up in the nearby salon. And yes, we attended class with our blown out/ultra-curled hair! See how much we love you, Kim? Although, of course, we did not have the full make-up on until we went to the event. Here's the funny part:
All made-up, checking if our make-up is camera-friendly. LOL! ;)Having our own pre-party inside the car!
The late-comers (minus Carlos, who was sitting in front). Look, ms. Ana! It's the ring you made! Thank you. <3
After the 18 roses, 18 candles, 18 treasures, a four-course meal, and completely maximizing the four-hour photobooth available as souvenirs, and messages from the debutante's family and the debutante herself, the debut came to an end and the lights went out for the after-party to kick-off!
Initially, there were only a few of us who were on the actual dancefloor. Some were at the tall tables area. But I knew those party people could not resist it... pretty soon, the floor filled up. Even the debutante's family and relatives joined in. The next thing I knew, I got pulled up with the people dancing on stage because the dance floor was full! It was an absolutely fun and memorable experience. :) Being that we weren't in the same classes anymore for most of the time, it was one of the few moments I got to spend with my blockmates again. I love them. And we love you, Kim! I'm sure everyone had an awesome time, as the following week, the party was still the talk of the block. ;) Young and free, this is how we want it to be.
Happy birthday, Kim! P-p-p-party everyday! :>
And so the next morning...
Well, let's just say everyone was pretty much tired. But before going back to good ol' Manila, we dropped by Kim's house first and chilled for a bit. The girls did karaoke, some of us (myself included) swam, while the other boys played basketball. Oh, and let's not forget... food! :P~ We left Pampanga 5:30 pm and got back to manila around 7:45. Slept the whole car ride back.
Really tired, but totally worth it. I love my block. LR17 forever! <3
Next block trip? Southside... to Batangas! :D

College Frustrations
As of Saturday, 7:45 PM, I am back from Pampanga. And though the trip was quite short, it was filled with stories way too many to have possibly happened in the span of two days and one night -- BUT THEY DID! For now, the stories of Pampanga will be on hold until my next post.
Right now I'm really frustrated with what has been happening in school -- I mean, in terms of school work. One of the main issues I'm dealing with right now is the fact that my group and I are so behind in our Radio Production class. I don't get how and why we are, when the whole time, we have been following and taking into account the suggestions of the professor. Our revised proposals have always incorporated, if not embodied, her suggestions. And yet, we find our proposals still getting the X. She probably hates us, being the odd group and all. But we aren't to be blamed either, considering we were grouped by her. I mean, I'm not mad at the professor or anything. I'm sure this really is how it is in the real world, you know, not getting to work with the people you want to work with. But I guess I believe that we should have at least been given the chance to change the topic in the first place (as we were grouped by topic parallelism; and our group was the 'others' group). Being the odd group and all, I guess it would have been better if she had not forced upon us to find something in common with all our topics. Because seriously, NOTHING IN COMMON. We had to look for the smallest detail possible that we could connect. I swear, our group is a mess... not because of its members, but because of what we have gone through. Being the over-all producer, I feel that it is my burden to carry if the whole thing falls apart.
Can I just say, good bye honors.

The Checklists
School checklist:
[/] HUMAART Oral Exam
[/] RADIPRO PSA Practice Recording
[/] HUMAART Online Exam
[/] INTGLOS Interview
[/] CONCEPT Masterplot 1
[/] PUBLISH Newsletter
[ ] CONCEPT Masterplot 2*
[ ] RADIPRO Talkshow Concept Paper**
* For the CONCEPT Masterplot 2, we'll be talking about it through an online conference. Thank God, for technology! Although, Y!M is kind of messed up sometimes - does this happen to you also? When you're in a conference, sometimes you don't see the messages of other people in the conference as well.
** All we need now are names for the interviewees.
After going through the school checklist, I can finally go the Pampanga checklist! Hello Angeles, tomorrow!
Pampanga checklist:
[/] Transportation (YES, FINALLY WE HAVE!)
[/] Dress, shoes, purse
[/] Hair & make-up appointment
[/] Room assignments
[ ] 18 Candles Speech*
* Okay, so I'm pretty much set for Pampanga, only except for the speech part. You see, I've been busy the whole week trying to go through the long school checklist (and believe me, it looks harder than it does), that I haven't been able to think about it. Anyway, I'm sure it'll come.
So that's it. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow!
Do you use a checklist?
If you do, are you able to complete everything that is on your checklist?
Do you experience the same dilemma with Yahoo! Messenger when you're in a conference?
